back to newsletters menu

The daffodils and tulips are sprouting from the beds in the garden. Crocuses are out as are the snowdrops. Spring is just about here. Goodness what a long, cold and miserable winter we've had, so to cheer you up, here's Issue 12 of the quartlery(ish) Hillside Computer Services Newsletter.

This is going to be a short Newsletter this time as nothing much has happened in the computer world and there's nothing new on the horizon to get all that excited about. Hopefully there will be more to report next time.

You can print this newsletter off to read at your leisure. Just press the print button on your web browser and please feel free to pass this newsletter onto anyone you know who might benefit from reading it (friends, family,a bloke at work etc.).

Don't forget that my new contact details can be found at the bottom of this page.

News

Most of the boxes are unpacked and homes have been found for all my various bits and pieces. BT came in and did their thing; a new telephone line has been installed and broadband activated, so as I said in my last update email "I'm up and running".

I must say a massive THANK YOU for all your best wishes regarding the move. They were much appreciated.

Q's and A's

Obviously you may be concerned that having moved from Hartest that I may not be able to provide you with the support you need. I can assure you that I will be continuing to offer the best support I can and in as timely a manner as possible.

Q. How will your move to Thetford affect me?

A. It won't. It was my choice that my wife and I made for us to move house. I except that I'm not quite so much on the doorstep as previously, but Thetford is only 10 miles north of Bury St. Edmunds and it isn't the end of the earth.

Q. By moving away from Hartest will you be charging mileage?

A. No, I won't be charging mileage. Anyone who was previously charged for mileage (those who lived quite a distance from Hartest were charged mileage) was charged mileage at 40 pence per mile. This charge is now waived.

Q. Will you be putting your charges up?

A. I don't envisage increasing my charges for the foreseeable future.

Jokes

Three women were sitting around talking about their husbands' performance as lovers. The first woman says, "My husband works as a marriage counselor. He always buys me flowers and candy before we make love."
The second woman says, "My husband is a motorcycle mechanic. He likes to play rough."
The third woman says, "My husband works for Microsoft. He sits on the edge of the bed and tells me how great it's going to be when I get it."
